Times of Distress can foster positive memories
We can all agree that current times call for a great deal of pondering. As the aging process takes effect, our minds can wander and allow us to relive great times, and memories of the past. I recall the first time I wrote a poem, that from my perspective, was too simple to ponder over. Yet, it was published in my university’s Ashanti magazine. Then, I can recall other moments of elation, when I received my MBA, or when I was informed that I was a grandmother, or when I hired a construction company to build my house from scratch. These types of remembrance are very essential to relive on the minds. Then, as reality strikes, we can either absorb it all, or reject some aspects of it. Maryse Augustin.
