“Fake Profile” Notification

When a notification pops up frequently, as an alert of a fake profile, how does anyone react to such a reveal? We can ponder about who, why, and where, but, the main focus appears to indicate a sense of violation of our values, viewpoints, standing in society, and vulnerability. When someone decides to express his/her agenda, under our names, without authorization, it is such a nuisance that can be lasting, emotionally. Why would any person wish to impersonate another on social media? Perhaps, an ongoing attempt to demean, and render a victim, defenseless. Such an instance ought to become a matter deserving an investigation to apprehend and prosecute. The psychology involved in these types of cases seems to relay an extreme lack of self-worth on the part of the perpetrator, and possibly a desire to somehow literally become the person being impersonated; or perhaps wishing to diminish the educational level of a victim, by applying a mediocre stance on grammar, under the victim's name. Existing laws may one day eliminate these attempts and render these hackers, fearful of being caught and jailed.
