How many times have we thought about receiving gifts of wisdom, prosperity, health, longevity from Almighty God? Probably every single day, by some of us, Christians, and Servants of the Lord. But, at times, don’t we wonder if a text received, or a phone call to relay a message, or even a casual encounter with a stranger on the streets, is communication from the divine, thereby, representing a gift of acknowledgment? Not sure, if others would relate. But, in my personal experience, it feels encouraging when certain obstacles can overcome feelings of doubts relative to faith and a journey with no bounds relative to understanding the gospel of Christ. By definition, visiting church on a weekly basis represents a way of life that becomes paramount to retaining beliefs that are a stronghold uplifting hope and faith. Discernment on instincts of what to reject and what to pursue, can also be recognized as a gift. For instance, Accepting or rejecting monetary gifts from those whose works may not align with a divine purpose, can be understood to represent a gift of discernment. Whatever our mantra is in life, there ought to be expectations for relief, through any signs or notion of recognition for our plight, and individual circumstances. Maryse Augustin.
